[ASR] Na edi\u00e7\u00e3o deste m\u00eas a Revista Adventista noticiou o mil\u00e9simo curso antitabagismo realizado por Jo\u00e3o Batista Costa, volunt\u00e1rio que h\u00e1 35 anos realiza cursos sobre como deixar de fumar em cinco dias. A not\u00edcia deu \u00eanfase na aproxima\u00e7\u00e3o da Igreja Adventista e a sociedade atrav\u00e9s de cursos como estes, que promovem o bem-estar e a sa\u00fade. Al\u00e9m disso os cursos para deixar de fumar abrem as portas para o evangelismo e v\u00e1rias pessoas passam a conhecer melhor a igreja e alguns deles at\u00e9 passam a ser membros das congrega\u00e7\u00f5es adventistas.
