A primeira igreja, constru\u00edda em 1926 na Pen\u00ednsula Itapagipana, foi apenas o in\u00edcio de uma caminhada que hoje re\u00fane mais de 41 mil membros espalhados em mais de 450 templos. Ela foi reinaugurada com reforma de fachada, audit\u00f3rio e salas das novas gera\u00e7\u00f5es (Foto: Pedro Ara\u00fajo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Batismos e homenagens: f\u00e9 que atravessa gera\u00e7\u00f5es<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Um dos momentos da celebra\u00e7\u00e3o incluiu o batismo de 120 pessoas, simbolizando que a mensagem que chegou \u00e0 capital baiana continua transformando vidas, como a de dona Bevenuta Chagas, de 109 anos, que ainda participa das atividades da igreja. \u201cAqui eu sempre fui diaconisa. Todo primeiro s\u00e1bado do m\u00eas sou eu. No dia que eu tiver que partir daqui, eu quero ser zelada no banco da igreja\u201d, afirmou emocionada. L\u00e1 tamb\u00e9m esteve Z\u00f3zimo Reis e a fam\u00edlia Santana, lembrados pela dedica\u00e7\u00e3o em prol do crescimento da Igreja. Os fi\u00e9is puderam contribuir e a oferta arrecadada ser\u00e1 destinada a apoiar mission\u00e1rios, entre eles 12 que foram enviados pela Associa\u00e7\u00e3o Bahia, uma das sedes administrativas da denomina\u00e7\u00e3o no estado, que atuam no Chile, Egito, Tail\u00e2ndia, Estados Unidos e outros pa\u00edses, al\u00e9m de outros volunt\u00e1rios que trabalham local e internacionalmente.
