Por\u00e9m, na adolesc\u00eancia, percorreu caminhos diferentes e se afastou das atividades que desempenhava na igreja. Fundador de um dos Clubes de Desbravadores de \u00c1guas Lindas, em Goi\u00e1s, o jovem desenvolvia um importante minist\u00e9rio com um grupo de meninos e meninas de 10 a 15 anos. Embora longe da Igreja, sua m\u00e3e nunca desistiu de orar por ele.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Certa ocasi\u00e3o, Mayk conheceu Dandara Vit\u00f3ria, que tamb\u00e9m nasceu num lar adventista e era ativa na igreja. Mais tarde, ambos se casaram.<br><br>Dandara conta que quando seus av\u00f3s faleceram, sua fam\u00edlia abandonou a religi\u00e3o. \u201cUma amiga da escola me levou \u00e0 igreja, mas eu era apenas uma visita, n\u00e3o a frequentava. O Mayk j\u00e1 conhecia a igreja desde crian\u00e7a, pois a m\u00e3e dele \u00e9 adventista. Mas tomar a decis\u00e3o pelo batismo foi muito dif\u00edcil. Quando o pastor German, que \u00e9 l\u00edder da igreja que frequentamos, nos visitou, aceitamos o chamado para o batismo. Hoje somos felizes com a decis\u00e3o que tomamos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>O casal firmou o compromisso p\u00fablico atrav\u00e9s do batismo, que foi realizado na Sede dos Adventistas para toda a Am\u00e9rica do Sul (DSA). A cerim\u00f4nia foi realizada durante o projeto Reencontro, uma iniciativa mission\u00e1ria da Igreja Adventista que busca alcan\u00e7ar pessoas que, por alguma raz\u00e3o, est\u00e3o espiritualmente desanimadas ou at\u00e9 mesmo j\u00e1 n\u00e3o frequentam mais os cultos na igreja. \u201cA sensa\u00e7\u00e3o de entrar de novo no tanque batismal foi inexplic\u00e1vel. Foi um misto de emo\u00e7\u00f5es boas\u201d, conclui, emocionada.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-3 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-2 is-layout-flex
