Os volunt\u00e1rios colocaram o material dentro de uma sacolinha de presente personalizada com slogans do estabelecimento,\u00a0situado em Campos dos Goytacazes, e entregaram para cada visitante.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Leia tamb\u00e9m:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/noticias.adventistas.org\/pt\/noticia\/publicacoes\/livros-mudam-vidas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Livros mudam vidas<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Esta livraria hist\u00f3rica, localizada a uma quadra do Rio Para\u00edba do Sul, chegou a ser a joia da intelectualidade portuguesa da corte que atracava no antigo Cais do Imperador. Foi para esse p\u00fablico que ela foi criada, em 1844, pelo empreendedor portugu\u00eas Jos\u00e9 Vaz Corr\u00eaa Coimbra.<\/p>\n<p>Ao longo do tempo, o local testemunhou duas guerras mundiais e passou por outros marcantes fatos hist\u00f3ricos, como a proclama\u00e7\u00e3o da Rep\u00fablica e a aboli\u00e7\u00e3o da escravatura. Comenta-se que Jos\u00e9 do Patroc\u00ednio, morador de Campos dos Goytacazes, comprou nesta livraria a pena com a qual a princesa Isabel assinaria a Lei \u00c1urea, em 1888, libertando os escravos no Brasil.<\/p>\n<p>Em 1995, o\u00a0<em>Guinness Book <\/em>- o livro dos recordes -\u00a0reconheceu sua longevidade e lhe concedeu o t\u00edtulo que hoje carrega de A Livraria Mais Antiga do Brasil. No pr\u00f3ximo m\u00eas, ser\u00e1 comemorado seu 175\u00ba anivers\u00e1rio.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Incentivo \u00e0 leitura<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Para Hugo Pereira, volunt\u00e1rio do <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adventistas.org\/pt\/evangelismo\/projeto\/impacto-esperanca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Impacto Esperan\u00e7a<\/a>, entregar os livros ali facilitou a quebra de barreiras. \u201cEst\u00e1vamos num local aonde todos gostam de livros, ent\u00e3o a receptividade foi imensa. Alguns se surpreendiam, ficavam espantados, davam risada, porque n\u00e3o acreditavam que estavam recebendo o livro de gra\u00e7a no espa\u00e7o de uma livraria. Mas a\u00ed explic\u00e1vamos que \u00e9 presente, e presente n\u00e3o se compra. Outras, foram at\u00e9 o local buscar o seu exemplar. \u201cFuncion\u00e1rios dos com\u00e9rcios nos arredores perceberam o movimento e tamb\u00e9m foram at\u00e9 a livraria buscar o seu exemplar. Deu pra ver que chamou mesmo a aten\u00e7\u00e3o das pessoas\u201d, relata Menezes, respons\u00e1vel pela a\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>Dentro dos livros tamb\u00e9m estava um convite para participa\u00e7\u00e3o em um culto que ocorreria na tarde daquele mesmo dia.
